This Privacy Policy explains how Dad Squad LLC (“Dad Squad,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares information through dadsquad.org, our forms, events, community activities, products, communications, and related services.

We do not sell personal information or share mobile numbers and SMS consent information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.

  • Community information: Squad affiliation, event participation, interests, volunteer activities, City Leader applications, and other information you voluntarily submit.

  • SMS consent records: Informational and marketing consent selections, timestamps, opt-in sources, disclosure versions, and opt-out records.
  • Transaction information: Purchase details, order history, billing information, and fulfillment details. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers.
  • Technical information: IP addresses, browser and device details, cookies, website activity, and related technical data where collection technologies are enabled.

We collect only information reasonably necessary for our operations and the purposes described in this policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Connect members with local squads and activities.
  • Coordinate events, gatherings, and service projects.
  • Review City Leader and volunteer applications.
  • Manage memberships, DadSquad+ benefits, and business partnerships.

  • Send promotional emails and SMS when appropriate consent has been obtained.
  • Maintain customer relationship management records.

3. SMS Messaging and Consent

Dad Squad offers optional SMS communications. Providing a phone number alone does not constitute consent to receive promotional text messages.

Where SMS consent is requested, individuals may separately opt in to informational messages, marketing messages, or both.

Informational SMS

These messages may include Start a Squad application updates, onboarding information, appointment confirmations, event reminders, responses to inquiries, and other service-related communications.

Marketing and Promotional SMS

These messages may include community announcements, upcoming events, leadership opportunities, DadSquad+ offers, partner benefits, and other promotional communications.

Consent

SMS consent is collected through explicit, optional opt-in selections on applicable forms or through other appropriately documented consent methods.

Consent is not a condition of joining Dad Squad, participating in community activities, submitting an application, or making a purchase.

We maintain records of consent, including the communication category selected, date and time, source, and applicable disclosure language.

Message Frequency and Charges

Message frequency varies based on participation, activity, and communication preferences. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting Out

Reply STOP to any Dad Squad SMS message to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact info@dadsquad.org.

We honor opt-out requests and maintain suppression records as necessary to prevent unwanted messages. Opting out of SMS does not automatically unsubscribe you from email communications.

4. Mobile Information and SMS Data Sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Information sharing with subcontractors and service providers supporting our operations, such as customer service, customer relationship management, and SMS delivery providers, is permitted only as necessary to provide those services.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Dad Squad does not sell, rent, or distribute SMS subscriber lists.

5. Sharing Information

We may share personal information with:

  • Authorized Dad Squad personnel: Administrators, City Leaders, and event coordinators who need information to fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Technology providers: Website hosting, CRM, email, telecommunications, analytics, and other operational service providers, including GoHighLevel/LeadConnector where applicable.
  • Payment and fulfillment providers: Companies necessary to process transactions and deliver purchased products or services.
  • Event coordinators: Authorized organizers who need limited information to manage registrations or participation.
  • Legal authorities: When required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.

We do not share personal information with unrelated third parties for their independent marketing without appropriate authorization.

6. Facebook and Third-Party Platforms

Dad Squad operates community activities through Facebook and other third-party platforms. Information you provide directly to those platforms is subject to their respective privacy policies.

Joining a Dad Squad Facebook group does not automatically enroll you in SMS marketing.

Our website may also link to third-party websites, services, or businesses. We are not responsible for their independent privacy practices.
